I spoke at the UX Design Summit 2022 on the topic of Research Ops because I believe it’s crucial for enhancing UX maturity in Latin America. My talk, which aligned with the summit’s theme of “Empowering Design Teams to Drive Impact,” highlighted the significant role of research operations in enabling design teams to reach their objectives.
I shared my thoughts on the need for well-defined processes, tools, and systems to support successful research and how these can boost design teams’ efficiency and effectiveness. I also discussed crucial aspects, such as identifying user researchers (PWDR) and creating a system that can adapt to any design process, adding immediate value for the team and stakeholders.
For more mature teams, I stressed the significance of having a clear research roadmap and the value of continuously improving research operations. I was inspired by the Latin America design community’s passion and dedication, and it was an honor to share my experiences and perspectives on research ops.
